CHED Central Luzon Regional Office III Goes On-site Monitoring of HEIs in Aurora

The CHED Central Luzon Team headed by its Regional Director, Dr. Leonida B. Sigua-Calagui, LLB, CESO III conducted an on-site monitoring on the implementation of flexible learning and limited face-to-face classes of higher education institutions in the Province of Aurora from May 30, 2022 to June 02, 2022. Also included in the on-site evaluation were the learning continuity plans (LCPs), and Student Affairs Services (SAS) delivery programs in the following HEIs: Aurora State College of Technology (Main Campus and the Extension Campuses), Mount Carmel College (Baler & Casiguran Campuses), Wesleyan University-Philippines (Maria, Aurora Campus), Lyceum of the East (Maria Aurora) and the UP School of Health Sciences (Baler Campus).

Dr. Calagui explained to the school officials the purpose of the visits. She likewise assured them that CHEDCL remains as their partner in delivering quality higher education in the Region. She also reiterated the conduct of limited face-to-face classes and the need to retrofit facilities based on the CHED JMC No. 2021-004 and CMO No. 1, s. 2022.

Officials, teaching and non-teaching personnel as well as the students of the different HEIs in Aurora warmly welcomed the Monitoring Team of CHED-CLR. Among the school officials met were Dr. Eutiquio L. Rotaquio, Jr. and Dr. RB Gallego, the President and the Vice President for Academic Affairs, respectively of ASCOT; Dean Filedito D. Tandingco and Ms. Daisy N. Delos Reyes, Dean and Director of the Health and Sciences of UP Baler Campus; Rev. Fr. Dave Capucao, Administrator of Mt. Carmel College; Dr. Estrella Buenaventura, Administrator of Wesleyan University Philippines-Aurora and Dr. Gregorio H. Penamante, Dean of the College of Criminology of Lyceum of the East.
