CHED Holds First Leg of Piloting of the Philippine Credit Transfer System

The Commission on Higher Education in cooperation with the CHED Technical Committee on Tourism and Hospitality Education, Department of Education (DepEd), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Tourism (DOT) and various partners from the industry and academe, conducted the Consultative Workshop on the Piloting of the Credit Transfer System for Hospitality Management and Tourism Management on June 26-28, 2022 at the Widus Hotel, Clark, Pampanga.

Dr. Leonida B. Sigua-Calagui, CESO, III, LLB, Director IV, CHED Central Luzon warmly welcomed the participants. She emphasized the significance of the government, industry and academe working together to strengthen and standardize academic and practical instructions to produce world-class tourism professionals.

Hosted by the CHED Central Luzon Region, this activity is part of the initiatives of the Commission and other educational agencies to align and transform the tourism and hospitality education in the country.
