CHED – Central Luzon LGSO Orients SIKAP DHEIs in the region April 2, 2022
The Commission on Higher Education Central Luzon Local Graduate Scholarship Office (LGSO) conducted an orientation for the ten (10) delivering higher education institutions (DHEIs) in Region III on the CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 16, series of 2021 (Revised Guidelines of CHED Memorandum Order No. 6, Series of 2020 for Full-Time SIKAP Grant Scholars) on April 5, 2022 via Zoom platform. These DHEIs are co-implementers of CHED in the timely and efficient implementation of the program. These DHEIs provide the necessary assistance to SIKAP scholars, from application until the completion of their degree programs. DHEIs also submits Work and Financial Plans and billing documents for the scholars.
Dr. Leonida B. Sigua-Calagui, Director IV, virtually welcomed the participants and asked for their constant support for the successful implementation of the Scholarship for the Staff and Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) Grant.
Dr. Melanie Briones, Project Technical Staff III and SIKAP Focal Person, discussed the salient provisions of CMO No. 16, series of 2021. Likewise, she also discussed the guidelines for Part-Time SIKAP Grant Scholars.
In closing, Ms. Lora L. Yusi, Chief Education Program Specialist, extended her sincerest gratitude to the participating DHEIs and requested their all-out support in the SIKAP, just like how they supported the K to 12 Programs before.
