GOING DIGITAL: CHED Luzon, UniFAST RO-III Presents Improved TES and TDP Process
CHED CENTRAL LUZON REGIONAL OFFICE- the Unified Financial Assistance for Tertiary Education Region III (UniFAST RO-III) met the focal persons, cashiers, registrars and accountants of higher education institutions (HEI) in Region III with Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) grantees on April 6 and 7, 2022 via online platform. The activity was conducted with the objective of providing information to all concerned HEIs about the initiatives of CHED to improve the implementation of the programs such as the digitization in the processing of TES and TDP from submission of documents to crediting of payments.
The members of the UniFAST RO-III team presented updates on (1) templates to be submitted by HEIs for the processing and liquidation of TDP and TES funds; (2) timelines on the processing of TDP and TES and (3) online submission of documents through Google forms. Ms. Irene Bonus, Cashier, CHED CL, on the other hand, discussed the adoption of the List of Due and Demandable Accounts Payable-Advice to Debit Accounts (LDDAP-ADA) in the processing of fund transfers to HEIs. She mentioned that CHED CL will no longer issue checks to private HEIs instead funds will be directed to HEIs bank accounts. This digitization drive of the CHED CL brings confidence that a more convenient and efficient services will be delivered to its stakeholders.
