CHED and PRMSU Launch Soft Opening of the Sustainable Technology Education Tourism Campus – Coastal Zambales (STETC-CZ)
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) launched the soft opening of the Sustainable Technology Education Tourism Campus-Coastal Zambales (STETC-CZ) on January 19, 2023 at PRMSU E-Library.
The Sustainable Technology Education Tourism Campus – Coastal Zambales (STETC-CZ) is a campus-based project that will serve as a Virtual Tourism Informative hub, providing accurate and legitimate information on the best destinations, services, products, and protocols of tourist Coastal destinations in the province through PRMSU Sentro Turismo Zambaleño.
This coastal education tourism aims to fulfill SDG 4; as a result, STETC-Coastal Zambales promotes inclusive and equitable education and seeks to increase youth and adult participation in formal and informal education for global citizenship using digital instruction delivery platforms and non-immersive virtual reality experiences. It will concentrate on the sustainable management and use of natural and other resources in the coastal sector, this will fulfill (SDG 14-Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development) to equip managers, staff, representatives, and other coastal resorts with the skills necessary for safety, security, and a healthy coastal lifestyle. Thereby, if things will be in place, guidelines, protocols will lead to Zambales tourism circuit.
CHED Central Luzon headed by Dr. Leonida B. Sigua-Calagui attended the soft opening, together with Atty. Leila Freida M. Milla, Director IV of the International Affairs Services CHED Central Office, Hon. Rundy Ebdane, who represented Gov. Jun Ebdane, local officials and other officials of the University.
